Scan Schedules

Description of the control

Use this card to control how often CMSSPM runs its internal and external scans. The two schedule settings are Automatic Scan Schedule for the main background security scan and SSL Labs Scan Schedule for the separate external SSL Labs scan.

It is generally recommended to set both schedules to the same value so the main scan results and the external SSL Labs results stay aligned. If needed, the schedules can be different, or SSL Labs Scan Schedule can be left Disabled so the SSL Labs scan is run manually only.

Procedure

  1. Open Posture Management.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Locate the Scan schedules card under Scheduling.
  4. In Automatic Scan Schedule, choose one of the available options: Disabled, Daily, or Weekly.
  5. In SSL Labs Scan Schedule, choose one of the available options: Disabled, Daily, or Weekly.
  6. For the recommended configuration, set Automatic Scan Schedule and SSL Labs Scan Schedule to the same value.
  7. If you want the main background security scan to run automatically but prefer to run the SSL Labs scan only when needed, leave SSL Labs Scan Schedule set to Disabled.
  8. Select Save Settings.

Validation

Return to the Scan schedules card and confirm that the saved values for Automatic Scan Schedule and SSL Labs Scan Schedule are displayed correctly. If you chose the recommended configuration, both fields should show the same saved value.

If SSL Labs Scan Schedule is set to Disabled, confirm that Automatic Scan Schedule still shows the selected schedule and that the SSL Labs scan can still be started manually from the interface when needed.
